Willkommen to the 46th Oktoberfest at the Deutsche Internationale Schule Pretoria! Inspired by the legendary Oktoberfest in München Germany our festival is the first and most authentic beer celebration in South Africa! Join our school the German community and over ten thousand guests as we bring German “Gemütlichkeit” to life under African skies. In our main tent you’ll be entertained by the lively Oompah band "Die Frankenräuber" from Germany and the fantastic Velvet Sound Oompah band from Pretoria. Our Biergarten will also feature an awesome lineup of musicians including "Maeztro" "ONS" and “The Morning After Band.” Beer lovers rejoice! We have a splendid variety of beers that will delight even the most discerning connoisseurs. Plus there will be a wide range of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy. Feast on Germany’s rich food culture with delicious options like Eisbein Kassler Bockwurst Brezel Schaschlik (Sosatie) and more! Don’t forget to grab some traditional hats “funtastic” T-shirts and a few Lebkuchenherzen to complete your Oktoberfest experience.
