The Marathon du Médoc is a very unusual French marathon in Pauillac Bordeaux area, created in 1985, held every year in September through the vineyards of the Medoc in the Gironde. Known as “the longest Marathon in the world” because the race is interspersed with several activities: musical breaks with 50 orchestras scattered around the course, 23 wine tastings stops at various Chateaux, with oyster tasting at the 38th kilometer, and steak at the 39th kilometer. You won’t end this Marathon feast, thirsty or hungry! Bordeaux is an area well know for its Chateaux & Vineyards, you run through more than 50 of them in your fancy dress, do multiple wine tasting at the refreshment tables, eat cheese, oysters, fruit, biscuits, steak, croissants, ice cream, nuts and raisins ++ its a real feast!, pass through 52 animation points with music and orchestras.
